Police Intensify Massive Security Operations Across Cross River State

Tighten Security Across Lands and Waterways, Commissioner of Police charged

Ahead of the forthcoming Yuletide season, the Nigerian Police Force, Cross River State Command, has intensified strategies to strengthen and enforce security operations across land and waterways in the state. The Commissioner of Police for Cross River State Command, CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue, has charged all Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers to map out modalities to enhance a fruitful operation and delivery in their domain.

The directive was issued during the Command’s weekly briefing in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State, Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner also informed the officials of the Nigerian Police Force in the State to deploy effective patrol surveillance to reduce crime in routes, markets, transportation parks and public gatherings.

“We are not waiting for criminals to strike before we respond. We are moving ahead of them. Every commander must take responsibility for the security of his area and ensure that the police are visible and consistently present. and sustained.”… The police commissioner noted.

The security strategy enforced by the State Command has also set up Operation Velvet on the waterways at the Dolphin Marine Base, Calabar. It is expected to extend security operations to the maritime sector.

Mr Geoffrey Ordue has warned criminals that the Command is fully ready to disrupt all illegal activities and ensure no exploitation is recorded going forward.
