Tinubu Calls for Immediate Release of Minors in Custody
President Bola Tinubu has ordered the immediate release of all minors arrested and facing prosecution for their alleged involvement in the #EndBadGovernance protest, ensuring that this does not conflict with the law.
Additionally, he instructed the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction to attend to the minors’ welfare.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, shared this update with State House correspondents in Abuja. He further stated that the President has called for an investigation into the law enforcement officials involved in the minors’ arrest, detention, and prosecution, with appropriate disciplinary measures for anyone found responsible for misconduct.
