Why We Suspend IPAC Chairman indefinitely – Secretary

Comrade Frederick Eje Omari, Secretary of Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC, in Cross River State, explained that the decision to suspend Edet Effiom indefinitely was due largely to alleged highhandedness, infantile leadership qualities, and a lack of capacity.

In a statement released on Monday, he signed on behalf of 16 chairmen of other political parties in the state. Omari said Effiom lacks capacity to consult and has poor communication skills and an utter lack of capacity.

They have passed a vote of no confidence on jom, and accordingly suspended him indefinitely.

The statement said, “In short, he runs an elegant political infrastructure as a sole administrator, contrary to our IPAC Code of Conduct.

“In the light of the aforementioned anomalies, the undersigned political parties have unanimously endorsed his indefinite suspension as IPAC Chairman and have therefore charged the Deputy Chairman, Rev. Omaleko Efut of APGA, to take charge in acting capacity with immediate effect.

“We have equally resolved to reposition IPAC to play her usual critical advisory role to the government, especially at this time, as the country and its subnationals are at a crossroads.”

Former Labour Party gubernatorial candidate Ogar Osim, LP, and PDP publicity secretary Mike Ojisi were among the 16 opposition parties who signed the No Confidence Vote against Mr. Edet Effiom.

Effiom refuted all the accusations made against him, claiming they were part of a witch hunt.

Findings showed that Effiom usually issued letters to the authorities unilaterally and has allegedly garnered favours for himself alone.
