An apology has been made by a Catholic priest for the incident in which he knocked the head of an altar server while he was officiating a wedding ceremony.
While the young child is shown in a video that has gone viral, he is seen attempting to keep the microphone steady for the groom while the couple is exchanging their vows of marriage.
It would appear that this caused the priest to become irritated, as he then proceeded to strike the youngster on the head.
On social media, people’s reactions to the occurrence were all over the place.
Despite the fact that some users regarded the smacking as being innocent and humorous, others decried it as being unacceptable, particularly when it occurred during a religious service.
The priest, whose identity has not yet been revealed, expressed his regret to the altar server and his family in a video that was released not too long ago.
“A mistake” was another way that he characterized his behavior.
“This young boy was handling the microphone, and he did not hold it in a manner that was conducive to the mouth of the individual who will confess their pledge
“Someone finally snapped a picture and uploaded it online. They advised me to come apologies for what occurred to your family and to him.
“It was not a purposeful deed. Simply said, it was something I did unconsciously in response to the wedding planners. That set off the action. I am quite sorry.
