2027: APC Publishes Presidential Campaign Council Members
The All Progressives Congress Political Party in Nigeria has officially announced members of the presidential campaign council for the general election and has listed key politicians in the opposition party as members of the council.
In the published list made available to the media, the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike; Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke; Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo and others are to play vital roles in the forthcoming campaign.

The updated political campaign list indicated that His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, will head the campaign council as chairman, while the vice-president, Senator Kashim Shettima, and the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, will serve as vice-chairmen.

Also in the approved council, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq shall also carry out their responsibilities as vice-chairmen one two and three.
The council further announced Distinguished Senator Abdulaziz Yari as Director-General of Campaign and Governor Hope Uzodimma as Council Secretary, leaving eminent members of the party like Femi Gbajabiamila and Ibrahim Kabir Masari to oversee administration and operations.

It is gathered that all the progressive governors of the party in the said country are substantive state coordinators for Tinubu’s re-election, leaving Nyesom Wike as a replacement for Governor Siminalayi Fubara in Rivers State.

Many card carriers of the All Progressive Congress and Nigerians have expressed dejection over the ill-treatment of a sitting governor who is also a figure in the ruling party.
The National Chairman of the APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, stated that the comprehensive appointments form part of the party’s overall preparations for the 2027 presidential campaign and the success of the election.

Are Nigerians anticipating progress, stability, and good governance as the ruling party prepares for 2027, or is it merely another platform for promises and recession?
