Matters involving the UNited Nations General Assembly
In preparation for the 79th United Nations General assembly , Vice president Shettima departs Abuja, Nigeria to the United states.
This decision was assigned on behalf of Mr. President – Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the President would be handling pertinent issues regarding the State.
Earlier on, Mr President- His excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu had directed Vice President shettima to represent him in the General Assembly as he would be bent on addressing domestic issues, not excluding the recent catastrophic flood challenges.
The General Debate themed, “Leaving no one behind: Acting Together for the Advancement of Peace, Sustainable Development and Human Dignity for Present and Future Generations,” is scheduled to take place from September 24 to September 28, 2024.
As the event unfolds, Vice President Shettima will discuss Nigeria’s national statement, participate in key meetings on the sidelines of the event, and engage in bilateral meetings.
