President Tinubu mourns senior cousin

President Bola Tinubu has honored his senior cousin, Dr. Naheemdeen Ade Ekemode, who died some days ago at 80 years old.

In his recognition, President Tinubu shared affectionate recollections of their experiences growing up and featured Dr Ekemode’s deep rooted commitments as a gynecologist. This was contained in a proclamation endorsed by the Extraordinary Consultant to the President on Data and System, Bayo Onanuga, on Monday.

Dr. Naheemdeen served as the previous executive of the Lagos State Medical clinics.
President Tinubu expressed his sadness at the fact that, Dr. Naheemdeen’s passing has left a huge void in his heart and in the hearts of his loved ones. “The affectionate recollections we shared, from adolescence through the numerous years we spent together, will everlastingly stay in my heart.” He said.

Furthermore, President Tinubu said, “I will constantly appreciate your splendid grin, irresistible chuckling, and unflinching benevolence. As a doctor, your sympathy and care contacted incalculable lives, and your heritage will persevere through individuals you recuperated, helped, and inspired. I affectionately recall your funny bone and your mindful nature, which never neglected to give pleasure to people around you.

However we praised your 80th birthday celebration recently with trust for additional common minutes, we take comfort in the information that you are presently settled, liberated from agony and languishing.”

The President then extended his condolence and sympathies to the whole family, saying:

“In this season of sorrow, my considerations and petitions to God are with your friends and family. The esteemed recollections we hold dear and the adoration you provided for us will give strength and solace during these troublesome times. You may never again accompany us in body, however your soul and the bonds we shared will live on in our souls until the end of time.

May Allah award you everlasting rest, and His kindness and harmony be with you generally.”
