Live updates: INEC Commences the Collation of Election Results in Edo

The results of the governorship election 2024 in Edo State, Nigeria, have been compiled by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which has commenced the consolidation process.

The initiation of state-level collation was announced by the commission, which was directed by Professor Faruk Adamu Kuta, who is the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology in Minna.

Results from polling units may now be uploaded through the INEC Results Viewing (IReV) system, which has been activated. All 192 Wards have had their results compiled, and it is anticipated that the election will continue in accordance with the Electoral Act 2022 and the laws that govern elections.

On behalf of the commission, credentialed party agents, observers, and members of the media have been urged to have unrestricted access to all collation centers. Additionally, the commission has requested that security agencies maintain their vigilance and professionalism.
