The permanent secretary of the Cabinent Affairs officially assumes duty.
To mark this event, Staff of the Office, senior officials from the Federal Medical Centre, State House and other well-wishers were in attendance.
Before her appointment,she served at the State House medical care and then rose to becoming a director.
Dr. Emanso Umobong Okop expressed her gratitude to the President for his appointment and vowed to be ready and committed to work with other members of the Cabinet Affairs office.
However, she requested their support and cooperation as she promised effective leadership .
Also, she commended the support given to her by the outgoing permanent secretary, water resources, Richard Pheelangwa while she was mentored by him.
Also the outgoing permanent secretary and the incumbent, Federal Ministry of Water Resources, Richard Pheelangwa, thanked the staff of the Cabinet Affairs Office for their immense efforts, commitment and dedication to work which had yielded positive results and encouraged them to do same to the incumbent permanent secretaries of the Cabinet Affairs.
Moreso, Mary-rose Ozonweke, the Director, Economic & Finance (Cabinet Affairs) is of the opinion that Dr. Umobong’s wealth of experience in service will go a long way to drive the Office to greater heights and promised their unalloyed loyalty and commitment to work with her in the attainment of the statutory obligation of the Office. She also appreciated Pheelangwa’s purposeful leadership and wished him the best in his new responsibility.
