VIOLENCE, DESTRUCTION CAN’T EFFECT CHANGES – HIS HOLINESS OLUMBA OLUMBA OBU TELLS PROTESTERS

The spiritual leader of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, adored by his adherents as King of kings and Lord of lords has told aggrieved Nigerians that ongoing violence, destruction, and public protest against alleged bad governance cannot accomplish any ideal situation.

He addressed large gatherings of his faithful, guests, and invitees at the international headquarters of his spiritual organisation in Calabar, Nigeria, yesterday on expected unusual tonnes of God.

He took the opportunity to warn against the violence in some parts of the country, revealing that God has intervened; otherwise, it would have escalated into a more severe unrest.

The spiritual leader cautioned Nigerians to exercise restraint and patience, advising them to be lawabiding.

He advised them to respect established authorities because this is God’s law, emphasizing that resorting to violence and destruction cannot bring about any meaningful change.

“The nationwide hunger protest by Nigerians would have culminated in a very serious civil unrest in the country.”

“But the Almighty Father has intervened by taking full control. I hereby call on Nigerians to live in peace with one another, be law-abiding, and respect and honour all constituted authorities. Every soul must submit to higher powers because God is the only power, according to Romans 13:1-2.”

“Nigerians should instead pray for the divine spirit to guide the nation and its leaders.”

The spiritual leader charged Nigerian leaders to be sensitive to the plights of the people by listening and providing needed leadership to them.

“Leaders should show empathy and sensitivity to the plights of their subjects. They should act with love and understanding in every situation, depending on God for guidance in their responsibilities.”
