Obono-Obla charges C’River N’Ass legislators to draw attention to fed roads

Former presidential assistant, Chief Okoi Obono-Obla, has charged federal lawmakers representing the state in both chambers of the National Assembly to wake from slumber and draw attention to the sorry state of federal highways in parts of the state.

Bemoaning the states of federal roads that traverse the state, the lawyer and activist, in an interview, called on the federal lawmakers to file motions under a matter of national importance for the federal government’s swift intervention.

“Our federal legislators must take action to revive the federal road from its current state of neglect and bring the federal government’s attention to the deplorable condition of this critical highway.”

“Enough of their social media propaganda over frivolous matters.

“If something is not done urgently to rehabilitate the Calabar-Akamkpa-Biase-Ugep Federal Highway, Calabar will soon be cut off from parts of the State’s Southern, Central, and Northern Senatorial Districts before the rainy season runs its course.”
