Judicial Office Holders’ Salary and Allowances Bill is Signed into Law by Tinubu

It is now law that President Bola Tinubu signed the Judicial Office Holders’ Salaries and Allowances Bill into law.

This was said in a statement released in Abuja on Tuesday by Senator Basheer Lado, who is the Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters.

This was said in a statement released in Abuja on Tuesday by Senator Basheer Lado, who is the Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters.

Lado said, “This extraordinary action shows that Mr. President puts the welfare of Nigerian workers above all else, just like he did when he recently called off a meeting of the Federal Executive Council to sign the new National Minimum Wage Bill for N70,000.”

Lado explained that the new Act adjusts the salaries and allowances of judicial officers to account for the current circumstances.

As a result, it also modifies the provisions of the Certain Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc.) Act, No.6, 2002 (as amended) by removing the sections that pertain to judicial office holders.

He mentioned that one of the important features of the Act is the provision of salaries, allowances, and other benefits for judicial officers. “The amendment of the Certain Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc.) Act, No.6, 2002 (as amended) aims to remove the provisions that pertain to judicial office holders from the mentioned Act.”

He said that the president signing the bill was a significant accomplishment and showed his strong dedication to the well-being of Nigeria’s workers.

Lado stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has shown visionary leadership and compassion for the Nigerian people by approving revised salaries and allowances for judicial office holders, demonstrating his commitment to the welfare of the nation’s workforce.

“His visionary policies are still improving the lives of millions of people, making sure that the value of hard work is respected, and that those who work for our country are fairly compensated.”

“This approval is a clear indication of the hard work that Mr. President has put in to create a better and fairer Nigeria, where every worker has the ability to contribute to the nation’s success.”

“As we think about the future with optimism and determination, the President is committed to promoting programs that provide fair pay, better working conditions, and a brighter future for all Nigerians.”

He also praised all the members of the 10th National Assembly for making the welfare of Nigerians a priority by passing and sending the executive Bill, which has now been promptly approved by the president.

The president has taken action to improve the welfare and well-being of judicial office holders in the country. He is urging them to work even harder to ensure that justice is served quickly.

“The judiciary is still seen as the source of hope for ordinary people, and it is expected that Nigerians who are seeking justice will receive it, regardless of their social standing,” he said.
