Commencing on August 26, 2024, the U.S. Embassy in Abuja and the U.S. Consulate General in Lagos will implement a new visa payment and scheduling system, which will greatly improve the visa application process.
This transition to a new service provider aims to enhance operational efficiency and elevate the user experience.
The recently launched U.S. visa website for Nigeria is now up and running, offering a user-friendly platform for applicants to easily handle their visa appointments and payments.
As of this date, all visa-related services will be handled through this updated website. The new appointment booking and payment system can be accessed by replacing the former ustraveldocs.com site.
It is important to note that all document submissions from the previous system are being either migrated or discontinued based on their relevance, and applicants must follow the updated procedures outlined on the new site. For those with appointments scheduled before August 26, 2024, there is no need for concern; your interview will proceed as planned on the date.
Upon the launch of the new system, you can expect to receive an automated email within two business days. This email will provide you with detailed instructions on how to set up your account on the new platform.
