Speaking further, governor Umo Eno reiterated his commitment to unveil and implement more welfare programs for the youths, congratulated the chairmanship candidate of Nsit Ubium, Mr Alfred Charles, and all councilorship candidates who emerged from the nomination exercise.

I thank them for their understanding – our youths, our men, our women, market women, transporters, our elders, our students. Thank you for keeping our state peaceful. For me, it’s a big encouragement,” he said.

In Oron Local Government Area, the Deputy Governor, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, hailed the primaries, highlighting the exemplary character of the PDP by its “orderliness and peace” in the conduct of it affairs in the state.

The state PDP chairman, Elder Aniekan Akpan, on his part, lauded the delegates and party faithfuls for the successful conduct of the exercise.
