As a consequence of protesters obstructing the roadway that leads into and out of Abuja, thousands of commuters have been left stranded at the Suleja axis of the national highway that connects Abuja and Kaduna in the state of Niger.
Commuters and travellers have been unable to go forward as a consequence of the disruption in the flow of traffic that has occurred as a direct result of the protesters’ decision to block off a stretch of the highway.
It has been reported by commuters who spoke with us that the traffic bottleneck has extended beyond a certain distance, and it is currently going in the direction of the Zuma military barracks.
Due to the enormous number of young people, the few police officers who are standing in the distance are unable to take any action about the blockade.
This is because they are faced with an overwhelming number of young people. We have this report in our possession.
