Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, has promised to give N100,000 to each Corps member leaving the camp and N100 million to the NYSC support staff as a goodbye gift.
As the special guest of honour at the NYSC Passing-Out Parade/Closing Ceremony for the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream I Corps Members on Tuesday at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Iyana Ipaja, he made this promise.
In other news, Governor Sanwo-Olu promised N5bn to help build a stable site for the state’s National Youth Service Corps Orientation Camp.
He said, “I will make a total of 5 billion available this year alone. We will use this to begin construction of the permanent site for NYSC.
“This batch has 4254 people, and because you are responsible and worked hard, each will take home N100,000.” By next week, the money will be in your accounts, and your directors will credit your account.”
