Nigeria’s sports minister, John Enoh has shared his thoughts on the outburst by Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen showed a lack of respect towards former Super Eagles head coach, Finidi George, in his comment on social media.

Enoh made it clear that he instructed the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to refrain from making any statements regarding the issue.

The minister also suggested that he instructed the NFF to involve Osimhen before making their decision.

“There have been numerous opinions on this,” he stated on Eagle7 FM Radio. Osimhen is a true warrior for Nigeria, but it was a disappointing

“I instructed the NFF to hold off on making a statement until after they had spoken with Osimhen.

“This is particularly true given that we have a lot on our plate and that these are not the best of times for Nigerian football.”

“The NFF must maintain focus and avoid distractions.”
